1. What is CVSup?

CVSup is a suite of programs designed to facilitate mirroring of a CVS repository. It was originally developed by John D. Polstra <jdp@polstra.com> for the needs of the FreeBSD Project, but is now becoming widely used as an alternative to the rsync or mirror general-purpose mirroring programs.
